8 Miles is actually fairly high on the list. It's on my personal one as well, and while I don't compare albums to movies, I'm probably going to have to agree with Skinny on that It really is a fantastic movie. Eminem's acting was top-notch. Equal to Bjork's performance in Dancer In The Dark imo... that's kinda comparable, right?

Enter The Void wasn't released in 2009 in USA (not theatrically, not on a festival). I agree it's a "general consensus" that it's a 2009 release, so to avoid looking like a hypocrite, I suggest you extend this rule to all films.
I should be sending my list within a day or two. With Enter The Void and About Elly of course.
You can include About Elly loveless, I'm not taking this that seriously. As Saoirse said, this is just a fun poll. I doubt it will make the final cut anyway, but it's a fantastic film nonetheless. It's just a slightly confusing release date when it spawns over 2 separate decade I needed to clarify it's eligibility as one or the other.
Which, now that I realize it, is kinda awkward. I might just close the poll on Sunday night.... so maybe 6 more days. _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!
If High Fidelity doesn't make the list, then the list is BS. Come on, we are music lovers aren't we?
You never know
Also, I want to clarify that the bigger the list you have, the more weight it has. A list with 20 entries will be weighted as (#1 = 20 points, #2 = 19 points, etc...), where as a list of 100 will be weighted (#1 = 100 points, #2=99 points).

Yeah, but Cusack's character is a whiny little narcissistic bitch who treats women like shit and then has the gall to beg sympathy from the audience in an almost unbearably smug, holier-than-thou way, Black's character is a hit-and-miss dry run for the much more interesting, fleshed-out character he portrayed in School of Rock, and you can see the ending coming a mile away, even without reading the (far superior) book. It's still pretty charming at times, particularly during the record store scenes, and Robbins is fantastic, but it's too self-satisfied overall for me to consider it one of the decade's best. _________________ 2021 in full effect.
