What I'm concerned about if I allow Mexico is that a lot of people are going to want to alter their charts to include albums from Mexico and it takes a SURPRISINGLY long time to record all of this information and starting from scratch does NOT appeal to me at this juncture. Maybe we could just start letting Mexican countries in from this post forward, but then that puts Mexico at a disadvantage because it hasn't had the same opportunity to accrue points as other countries...

I doubt there is more than two people who wanted to add Mexican stuff to their list but didn't. There aren't that many fans of Los Tigres del Norte or Cafe Tacuba around here.

Bork has a point. Mexican albums are allowed from now on but no going back and altering your list. Sorry folks, my bad Sad

BAH, SONOFA-

Well, we're a few pages in. At this point, a Mexican album will only really have a chance if a sudden flood of people all hit it up with high points.

They don't teach geography in Canadian schools either? I thought it was just the US.

And Opeth are from Sweden, which is not in North America, nor a large manufacturer of Swiss cheese, Swiss chocolate, or Swiss watches.

It is not a question of geography, it is a question of culture. Just like a U.S. acre is not the same size as a Canadian acre. In the culture I live in, North America comprises only Canada, the US, and Mexico as it is defined according to the NAFTA agreement (Well, we could debate Greenland I guess). If you scroll down the Wikipedia page the last section addresses that fact. But I guess I could have been clearer and a little less egocentric and say that IN CANADA the Caribbeans are NOT part of North America. In the end I don't really care as long as we agree to which definition we use.

NAFTA doesn't determine what is and isn't part of North America. That would be like saying: "Britain isn't a European nation because it isn't part of the EU".
