Tattoos

Not keen on tattoos, though something small would be fine, I think. Big things are ugly. I wouldn't want words tattooed on me, they look sorta awkward, though if I did I'd want "Be soft, don't be stern, we all want, we all yearn" Coloured tattoos look sorta gaudy. XD But I don't think the actually meaningful things in my life could be represented by tattoos.

I have a few tattoos. one literature reference, but no musical references yet. There are alot of tattoo ideas that ive had that i am very glad i didnt get. My main rule is "never be critical of an other persons tattoo. You dont know what it means to them, and it is permanent.

i am also of the belief that a bad tattoo is made better by having other tattoos. obviously this can be a slippery slope. but dont let one bad tattoo keep you from getting more tattoos

oh.. and be willing to spend money. When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for

Thought about 3 tattoos though I doubt I'd go through with any but for the last.

The first is my current avatar, actually. It's my online avatar for a lot of things, but more than that, it's a project I've been deeply rooted in for almost 4 years now that I've met countless heros as a result of and I really like the symbol. I'd get that over my heart.

I've thought about getting the JD quote that Meruizh got, actually, on my shoulder, though IDK about that one since words don't work great always.

The one I'd be most likely to get is a little darker. My great uncle (I believe that's how we're related technically, I'm not sure as I just know him as his name) escaped from Auchwitz when he was young. His whole family was wiped out there, but somehow, he made it out. He doesn't tell the story often - I don't think anyone but his children have heard it - but he's an incredible man and one of the kindest soul's I've ever met. The brand put on him at Auchwitz will be forever a part of him but he's so much more than that. I'd get something in the memory of his braveness if I ever did get a tattoo.
