Yeah, it took a while for it to resonate with me too. Trying to think what made it click, I used to think The Smile Sessions was miles better (still think it's slightly better) for the longest time and then I sort of played Pet Sounds one morning trying to understand what made it "better" and it fully came together. I think the mood I was in was something like happy + world weary?

I think sunflower is their best, though there are a couple of duds on it..
I dont think any of their albums are consistently brilliant all the way through.

fuck that noise man, anyone who would summarily dismiss any album simply because it would make them "look" a certain way if they listened to it and enjoyed it is a moron, and I have a pretty strong feeling that virtually none of the regulars here are like that at all.
