Yeah, it took a while for it to resonate with me too. Trying to think what made it click, I used to think The Smile Sessions was miles better (still think it's slightly better) for the longest time and then I sort of played Pet Sounds one morning trying to understand what made it "better" and it fully came together. I think the mood I was in was something like happy + world weary?

I think sunflower is their best, though there are a couple of duds on it..
I dont think any of their albums are consistently brilliant all the way through.
