No matter how hard I try, I don't enjoy either of these songs. I still think 'i' sounds silly, and the entire Run The Jewels album is just slightly above average.

Thuggin would easily be my pick for favourite hip-hop song of the year, but it came out like.. over 3 years ago I think.. So I think that's cheating. I wouldn't say D'Angelo, Flying Lotus or Spooky Black are technically hip-hop either, so I won't pick the obvious choices from those. Same with Vic Mensa's Down On My Luck.

My favorite hip-hop track is Drake's "0 To 100/The Catch Up", but Logic's "Under Pressure" and Rich Gang's "Givenchy" are really close.
