Found one of them album covers today that makes you wonder what got into their minds when deciding to go for that one, so I got to thinking about which covers are the ugliest ever published. I bet there are quite a few out there by really bad bands, so stick to the ugliest album covers of albums that you enjoy. Here are my two nominations:

Toby Keith - Toby Keith (1993)
Rick Derringer - All American Boy (1974)

The new Bombay Bicycle... band... whatever Confused

I saw their new album today. Just looking at it, I can tell if someone asked what type of music they play they would give one word. "Indie".

Their debuts cover was very good. I listened to their album. Not a single good song.

I see what you mean Smile

It's the perfect example of a great album I put off listening to for a long time because of its hideous cover. I mean, If you want your portrait spread out on every copy, might as well have a haircut beforehand, no ?

I agree with Cellardoor...although this is one of my favorite albums, it is one of the worst album covers...RCA had a terrible graphic arts department and all of their covers were bad..To me, an album cover should tell you something about what is inside, but this cover does not..he looks like a drug addict (which may be true) who has found Jesus..(which I don't think is true)...not that there is anything wrong with that.
