Pixies is one of the most critically acclaimed bands of the last twenty years, one of the most important group's of the 80's, and one of the most popular bands on this site.

This is their new album.

If it was the debut album of a different band i'd think it's alright. But it's not, it's the fucking Pixies. They should have never started recording again.

One of these days my friend was listening to music, and he asked me if I would like to listen to a new album of this year.. I listened It was very weird, I thought that was a common band, but no it was pixies! And then I said No... It's impossible

I listened to it in home after and then concluded: Yeah something is not right

It's not too bad, it's just something different from what I was expecting

Considering the band peaked 25 years ago, just how good are people expecting this album to be?

You'd think that they'd at least sound something like they used to.

Well it does kinda sound like Frank Black's solo stuff.

I don't hate it. But it's also nowhere close to anything else attributed to the Pixies.
