I mean there is only so much data which can be stored on any computer in the world. BEA doesn't even have every computer in the world. No matter what there can only be a finite amount of albums added to the database.

Will there ever be a time when the amount of albums added here will be limited and/or controlled? Is it something which could be coming in future? I've been thinking about it a while when adding albums. It just seems every year, perhaps every month even, the rate at which albums are being added is increasing meaning the time it would take to fill up the database is getting shorter as time goes on.

Well, let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of albums released in a given year on BEA. Based on this month's sample, it would be a Twinkie thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.

And all the while, storage capacities are getting bigger.

IS THERE AN END TO THIS ALL????

I'm pretty sure the space to keep one album on the servers is less than a megabyte, like maybe 100kb (99% of which is the album artwork).

In one terabyte hard-drive that's over 10 million albums, and since storage is getting cheaper, I'm sure we can create more storage faster than artists can create new albums.

Don't worry yourself.
