I haven't actually heard this album, but I have a couple of MCDE 12"s (the Send A Prayer EP, which is my favourite of the two, and Raw Cuts #5 & 6, the latter of which seems to be included here, and which I picked up for only £2 in the Tempest Records closing down sale a few years back as a kind of "what have I got to lose?" purchase) and they are great. Old-school sounding house music, with banging four-to-the-floor beats, simple synth stabs, and wonderfully placed vocal samples. The guy really is great at recreating that diva wail-driven classic house sound. I will get around to listening to this compilation in full, didn't even know it existed tbh. Great choice.

Or this could be a fine ALC item! I'll try and find it now.

Old school indeed, particularly "Raw Cuts #2", more like the missing link between disco and early house. Very pleasant.
