Really cool album but I never got into this one as much as I did with Arular and MAYA.

A fun romp, but not quite as satisfying or as memorable as her debut. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

The chorus to Paper planes is pretty banging. The rest of the album (and that particular song) is pretty decent, but tends to get very annoying to listen to.

I actually prefer this to Arular (even if MIA's best tracks are probably on her debut, I'm thinking "Galang" and "Bucky Done Gun"). It's MIA's career peak imo (MAYA's terrible). "Bamboo Banga", "Birdflu", Boyz", "Jimmy": the opening is stellar.
She's an interesting product of her era, M.I.A. is. You always wonder how much is fabricated, how much is legit, sort of "rebel of the world's minorities unite - and be fashionable too" thing that I think is quite fascinating. Saw her live once, she put on an awful show though.

Ah, that's my second favourite on here after Paper Planes. I get the didgeridoo beatboxing sort of thing stuck in my head all the time.

Best bit of the album, I think this is pretty great throughout though. _________________
