OK so if you haven't heard this, do it now - it's extraordinary. Think Björk meet er... all sorts of stuff, freak-folk, traditional South American music, ...

I swear it's nothing like Univers Zéro.

Saw her live. Took a picture with her. Good stuff... I mean the album. The picture is pretty terrible.

This is the first album BEA introduced me to!

Easily deserves a place on Mecca's chart of albums that seamlessness create their own worlds. Which is why I think everyone is having a hard time describing this album. While at times sounding like a tropicalian Bjork fronting at turns the Silver Apples or loops from Aphex Twins' Selected Ambient Works Vol. II, such a description does not do this justice. I guess this is partly due to the fact that this is better than anything Bjork's done. More natural & unaffected sounding which gives it a certain human warmth whereas Bjork's works have always felt very calculated & studied and thus just a bit icy. Don't get me wrong, I love Bjork. This is just different. It's got rhythm and soul. It beats & pulses. It's very much alive & organic. One of my favorite electronic albums of all time.

Good call. This is one of those albums I've listened to a handful of times and have really enjoyed but it's always been while I've been busy at work or something, so I've never quite taken it in as much as I should. Gonna change that today
