The 'remember me' function uses cookies and there's generally a couple of reasons why this sometimes might not work:
1. your browser security settings are set too high and the cookie is being ignored,
or 2. an anti-spyware program (or your browser) is deleting the cookies.
Nothing has changed here regarding cookies for a long time...

Do you see a privacy icon on the bottom of Internet Explorer (eye with a red circle & slash)? Just wondering if cookies are being blocked, or if it's something else...
it sounds very much like the cookie is being deleted. I can't think it would be blocked after doing what you've done.
