only a half year remains to our end of the year list topic .... in the meantime what(s your top 10 albums of this first 6 months, which had been a solid half year in releases.



Here's mine with their ratings (in bold...vitals of the year!)

1. Pantha Du Prince - Black Noise 95/100 ...( 27# in my top 50 )
2. Janelle Monáe - The ArchAndroid 95/100 .... (46# in my top 50)

3. Konono N°1 - Assume Crash Position 90/100
4. LCD Soundsystem - This Is Happening 90/100
5. Gorillaz - Plastic Beach 90/100
6. Massive Attack - Heligoland 80/100
7. Spoon - Transference 80/100
8. These New Puritans - Hidden 80/100
9. LoneLady - Nerve Up 75/100
10. Broken Bells - Broken Bells 75/100

"Romance is Boring" by Los Campesions!, "There is Love in You" by Four Tet, "Beat the Devil's Tattoo" by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and "Plastic Beach" by Gorillaz didn't make the cut.

I'm not doing a list, I only want to ask you... what did you like about Scratch my Back? Peter Gabriel is one of my favourite artists and Red Rain is one of my top 10 songs, but I still can't found a good song in SMB. BTW, I think Gabriel's cover of Street Spirit (Fade Out) is lame .
