Seems pretty unfair. One of the twentieth century's most celebrated and influential classical compositions feels a little out of place in an album tournament. That said, it's the best thing in the whole tournament - pure, humble, beautiful. I'd probably vote for Synthesist or King of Da Playaz Ball ahead of it, if only because they aren't far behind in terms of how much I enjoy them, without carrying the stigma of not being albums. But if we're talking about the best music in this tournament then nothing beats the Quartet for the End of Time for me. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. As much as I love Symbolic, this Death record did nothing for me. Without concentrating on the negatives, however, Quatuour Pour La Fin Du Temps is an incredibly beautiful piece. Vote to Messiaen. _________________
I nearly peed my pants when I saw this matchup last night.
This morning I guffawed out my coffee. And no. My short term memory is fine. It's just this is.... tries to think of a nice, constructive word and can't.... thinks of the only apt word & wonders if it's ok to say....goes against better judgement & decides to type word anyways.... RETARDED!
I'm clearly retarded as well so I'll let Syd do the rest of my talking for me....
Unfair matchup... Vote to Quatuor Pour La Fin Du Temps. _________________ "And can’t you see you’re in on it?

That Death album is a bit too much for me. Lots of everything, always, I feel it does not leave me a lot of breathing space (maybe it's the point?), plus I'm not that open to the genre to begin with. I probably need a transitional album that will help me get to those shores.
