A good, no-nonsense hard blues romp...but honestly, it's my least favourite of the Morrison Doors albums. It's not that there is really anything wrong with it....it's just that few of the songs are all that memorable.

It's not bad, it's good, but it's not great.

Nothing that really shouts at me

I worship The Doors. My favorite is probably Waiting For The Sun, but I love all their Morrison helmed albums (except maybe The Soft Parade, but even that has its moments). I happily give the floor to NV regarding the rest of their career. Laughing

Very solid album, one of the band's best and slightly underrated, IMHO. It was also important for them after the spectacular failure of The Soft Parade. Kind of restoring the energy of early days.

Track picks

Roadhouse Blues
You Make Me Real
Land Ho !

He-he...not really... Laughing

In the heart of a teenage rock 'n' roller: As good as LA Woman! As good as Strange Days! As good as The Doors!

I love this album, I've been listening to it so many times for so many years.

Indian Summer...one of the sweetest jim's songs.

For me it's nowhere near as strong as their debut or Strange Days, but it's still a dope record and 'Peace Frog' is my motherfucking jam.

The Doors are one of my favorite bands ever, and second only to the Kinks for there decade, but I've actually never listened to this one. The Soft Parade was really forgettable, maybe it's just because of that. I'll try to get to it soon.
