Pretty new to the forum, thought I'd see how this goes.

Do you ever find yourself surrounded by people who all claim to enjoy a certain artist, but you just don't see it?
I can't see why anyone would ever listen to the Dead Kennedys, I listened to Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables after my (also music-loving) friend recommended it to me, but I thought it was horrible. I've never met anyone else who thinks so.

I also find myself subjected to a lot of Danny Brown, who I'm not too fond of either.

Tell me I'm not the only one who experiences this!

Fuck U2. Fuck them right in the ass.

Also The Rolling Stones, though I'm less passionate about them.

You know whats funny? U2 seem to be a super popular band but all I ever see them get is criticism.

They're among the more polarizing bands out there, I'd say, but they're critically acclaimed, so I count them as well-liked.

His voice grates on me. I know it was early 80s (1980? 81?) and I always try to listen to music in context, especially when I'm being critical of it, but I thought it was just repetitive, it didn't seem to really go anywhere as an album, ya know? It bored me. I'm a fan of minimal production, if it's done well, and I don't think it was on that album. It just sounded cheap, and not good cheap.

I guess I can see what you mean by saying it's repetitive but your the first person I've ever heard say that they don't like Biafra's voice. I personally love it myself.

Hmm interesting. I have nothing against him per se, but even when he did that stuff with Melvins I didn't enjoy it, and I fucking love that band. One man's poison and all that I suppose
