The Dingoes were an Australian country rock band from the early seventies. This is their debut album, you're just gonna love them. Give it up for The Dingoes!

The Dingoes by The Dingoes, nominated by harkan.

Robert Wyatt was one of the founding members of the Soft Machine. He toured with Nick Mason, Mike Oldfield, and Bjork. Here's his 1974 offering, a six-song piece, two of which are named the same thing. You're just going to love it. It's called Rock Bottom.

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt, nominated by BEA.

Yeah, I haven't heard the other one yet, but I would be very, very surprised if it beat out Rock Bottom, which is in my top 20. I haven't heard everything yet, but right now it's my favorite to win the whole thing.

Maybe they have different rules in North America. I just logged on via Facebook and it started working perfectly. It's got a much better selection than Grooveshark, and you don't have to download a program as with Spotify. Only been using it for a couple of weeks, but it's awesome. Good luck.

Eight of the ten dingo songs are on YouTube. That will have to do. Deezer gives a "soon to be available in your country" message. (and I'd rather not sign up for something just to hear one album).

Anyway, I'm not going to penalize an album just because I couldn't track down all the songs. Wyatt sounds too exeperimental-y and ambiance-y for my tastes, so I'm voting for 80% of the Dingoes.

As far as I'm concerned, if you've heard more than half of an album, you've heard enough to vote on it, especially if you can't find the rest.

It's on iTunes Wink

I haven't heard it though. Anxious

I'm not particularly fond of Rock Bottom to be honest, so I might just skip out on this round.

Yeah, the site says "Deezer will soon be available in your country. We're inviting a limited number of people to experience Deezer before anyone else."

I hope I do get an invite, it sounds great.
