For me, it's Elton. I love Billy a lot, he was one of the first musicians I really got into when I was a kid, but I've liked more Elton stuff. 70s Billy Joel is awesome, 80s Billy Joel is really hit or miss.

Both are fine performers and good songwriters, but Elton, to me, is more consistent, and his highs are higher than Joel's.

Respect to both though.

OH GOD OH GOD!!!! Shocked Shocked Bily Joel was the who sang We Didn't Start the Fire ! I was wondering how I couldn't name a single song by them and then looked it up and one was 'We Didn't Start the Fire'

How amazing is that song? Very Happy

Haha in all honesty I dig An Innocent Man, but after that, really hit or miss. Stuff like Storm Front, River Of Dreams, The Bridge, really iffy.
