A friend and I were discussing albums we thought were best heard at night, and I was just wondering if you all had any suggestions. Here are some of the ones I came up with:
Radiohead - Kid A: Kind of an obvious choice, for me.
The Wallflowers - (Breach): I'm just a Wallflowers fan.
Beck - Sea Change: Often reminds me of Radiohead post-OK Computer.
Norah Jones - Come Away With Me: I'm not ashamed.
Pickering Pick - A Twitch Upon The Thread: I found this album through Rate Your Music. When I still used those forums, you could download it free from RYM. I don't know if it's still up there, but it's a fantastic solo acoustic album.

X2 .. this would have been my first pick.
Sigur Ros - Ágætis byrjun
Radiohead - Hail to the thief. (always thought this was the best one to listen to at night)

I don't know how I forgot about Sigur Ros. I've actually fallen asleep to that album a couple of times. I ended up having very, very strange dreams.
I'll have to try Hail to the Thief. I could see Amnesiac fitting into this category, too.

I second Lethal's Moon Safari for a Sunday Morning.
Also, Doves - Lost Souls I have played a lot at night.
