Two beloved albums go head-to-head.
Big Star's Radio City

Radio City by Big Star
beat Batsumi in the first round, and Sam Rivers' Crystals in the second. In both matches, the discussions indicated that people liked or disliked the other album because [reasons]; but that they connected to Radio City emotionally. It's just good enjoyable music, I love it, can't explain it, they said.
It's opponent is Robert Wyatt's Rock Bottom

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
It went up against the hard-to-find The Dingoes, winning by a wide margin although most of the discussion of that match was about how hard-to-find the Dingoes' album was. Round two, it was up against Jorge Ben's A Tabua de Esmeralda. While there was much appreciation for Jorge Ben, "Wyatt over anything" was a fairly common comment.
Which child do you love more?

There are very few albums that can top Rock Bottom... _________________ "And can’t you see you’re in on it?

Give enjoyable tunes a chance. Rock Bottom is good, Radio City is better. It's more fun, and it puts me in a better mood,
Vote to Big Star.

Rock Bottom to the top.
Few albums are as immersive and quietly gravitational, pulling you into its saturnine tides.

If it were #1 record or Third, Big Star would get the vote, but Rock Bottom is so good that it can squeeze out a victory over Radio City. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
