Well, I was trying to find some of the best songs by Duke Ellington. There were a few 'best of Duke Ellington' compilations. So I thought: 'Which is the best 'best of'?'

So that's basically the question: Which is the best best of?
You can put in any artist of course.

I don't usually listen compilations, but this might be a great way for people to find the real good stuff by an artist.

For instance (random pick):

The Essential Earth, Wind And Fire by E...d And Fire

They have some fantastic album tracks/deep cuts, but by and large their hits are their best music (and EWF is one of the greatest bands of all time).

Serpentine Fire... Fantasy... Shining Star... In the Stone... And Love Goes On... September... Getaway... Let's Groove... That's The Way Of The World... Sing A Song... Reasons... Can't Let Go... Boogie Wonderland... Can't Hide Love... Got To Get You Into My Life... a ton more.

FUCK so many good songs.
