Interestingly, a long, long time ago, in what feels like a galaxy far far away, before American Idol and lame 90s mall rock, Aerosmith used to rock. hard. No, it's really true. And this was their best, but Rocks comes damn close as well. Really two of the best hard rock albums of the entire 70s though.

I'll probably be the only one singing this gem's praises so I'll say it again => Simply one of the greatest Hard Rock albums of all time! Very Happy

Oh Aerosmith... My guilty pleasure. That said, 70s Aerosmith doesn't get bashed to the same extent as 80s and 90s Aerosmith. A great rock album. Nothing pretentious about it all. (Can't say the same for Steven Tyler in the last 20 years...)

Aerosmith's one of those bands my dad and I don't really want to like, because they are obnoxious in their own special way. But we do. I'm not sure whether I like this or Rocks more. I'll give both of them another spin later. It's been a long time since I've heard either one.

Yeah it's fun. Rocks is better though neither is extraordinary.

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

Without a doubt, Aerosmith's best album. Good old fashioned rock and roll

Edit: this was my 2,000th post. Cool.

Yeah, it's really consistent, the whole album feels like it could have been pulled right from a side of a greatest hits compilation

Without a doubt. It was the first Aerosmith album I ever got and still my absolute favorite. It just straight up rocks. It's fun personified

Great, fun rock and roll album. It has the mega-hits Walk This Way and Sweet Emotion, a great title track, and quintessentially tongue-in-cheek numbers like Adam's Apple and Big Ten Inch Record. Vintage Aerosmith.

I like this quite a bit (outside of track 5). There's nothing overwhelmingly positive/negative about this record, it just is.
