I prefer the U.S. version (with Paint it Black instead of Mother's Little Helper) but both versions are excellent. My only complaint with both versions is Goin' Home...which is just interminable. On the other hand, Stupid girl is one of my favourite lesser known Stones songs from this era.

"Mother's Little Helper" is a gem, and I don't think I'd like the album as much if it weren't on it. "Paint It Black" of course is a beast.

I love this song. I think the point is the length, and the song is all the better thanks to it. More or less like Daft Punk's "Too Long", if the analogy weren't so stupid.
This I think is the best Stones LP, at least it's my favourite by a very large margin. The mix of songwriting, attitude, badassery and subtlety is just the right proportion. Masterpiece.

This. Also I cannot decide if I prefer the US or UK version seeing as both are fantastic

Good album. I don't know why What to Do was left off the US version, it's one of the best songs.

This is where the Stones became "The Stones". Their first album of all original material. I prefer the US version, just because that is what I grew up on.

Good album. I'd say it's their best. _________________ on such a winter's day

US version all the way, even though I love Mother's Little Helper. Really can't beat Paint It Black as an album opener. Love how it closes with Goin' Home as well; just the perfect closer.
Easily one of their best, and there have certainly been times when I felt it was the best. Just as good as Revolver to me, captures an entirely different mood - badassery, as Master Bates puts it - with perfection. One of the greatest albums of all time. Luckily, the Stones cranked out a few of those. LOL.
edit: Hmmm.... I could have sworn someone made a remark earlier that it wasn't as good as Revolver. I may be losing it. LOL.
