iPod touch as well and like it much better than the older models. I like using it to stream music off the internet via wi-fi.
iPod Touch = iPhone - Phone - $$$

I think Apple practically has a monopoly when it comes to the mp3 player. I don't know anyone with an mp3 player that isn't an Ipod. Ipod is so ubiquitous, it's become like Kleenex or Band-aid where people are using the word in place of the device itself. For example, a teacher will tell students, "Make sure your cell phones, ipods, etc. are put away while you're in class."
As for me, I have a 80 gig Ipod classic, as I needed a lot of storage when I was abroad a month or so ago.

I've got the 160 gb ipod classic, need it for the memory. It's almost full so once it crashes I might jump on the Archos 5 hand tablet, 500 gb for music.
First edition got middling reviews, but the next model is supposed to have fixes. I'll wait and see, wish they still made those 240 gb ipods.

I will use anything really. It can't be below 1GB but I would never go above 16GB unless the price is really low.
My brother had an Ipod before and he told me how you can only get Itunes tracks to work on it. I've also read some pretty bizarre plans Apple may implement in the future. Well... it was a Cracked article but informative none the less.

THAT NOT TRUE, SILLEH.
I have over 9000 (cue DBZ awesomeness) songs on Itunes. Though I don't even think 1000 of them were bought on the Itunes Store. If it's a DRM-free MP3 file, you can import it. I get most of my music from Amazon and Emusic, and when the rare time comes when I need torrents to get a really rare album, that works, too. Same with CD's.
As an Apple fanboy, Itunes is essential to me. Obviously, everything I have on Itunes gets onto my 80GB Ipod Classic (might upgrade to 160GB soon), but a selection of my "faves" (which are auto-chosen based on my plays and ratings) are also synced to my Iphone and Ipad. When I rate a song on one device, it changes on all the other ones, too. I also love the universal play count :p
