- Post subject: Bob Dylan's Masterpiece Songs!
|
I know I've made a post about Bob Dylan recently - Anticipation of 'Shadows In the Night' - but whenever he releases something new, it always brings me back to really appreciating each and everyone of his albums all over again. So, in light of this, all I want is for people to list - in their opinion, of course - the Bob Dylan songs that they'd consider masterpiece's in themselves...Masterpiece songs that - excuse my praise, for I am a BIG Dylan fan - appear to make many whole albums by other artists sound rather lazy in comparison to these singular songs (Again, forgive me for that remark) Lists of 10 should do... So here's mine:
1. Visions of Johanna
2. Red River Shore
3. Desolation Row
4. Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands
5. Roll On John
6. Chimes of Freedom
7. Brownsville Girl
8. 'Cross the Green Mountain
9. Idiot Wind
10. Blind Willie Mctell
Honorable Mentions:
Joey
Ballad in Plain D
Hurricane
Percy's Song
Sugar Baby
A Hard Rains Gonna Fall
Ain't Talkin'

I know what you mean. No matter what, you're bound to leave out literally dozens and dozens of classics...maybe even hundreds - but that's a whole other level of obsession lol. _________________ - An aspiring Music Journalist.
