u don't see the problem? "Every single team"- you mean the ones you made for your match against EACH OTHER? I mean it's a completely acceptable rule, obv maybe we're just suspicious aloicious here on BEA about everybody but I think there's no harm in just not, you know, not being official co-captains anymore no matter how much help you gave each other already. Maybe Defago should've caught it early but obv he has a life and is not on BEA 24/7.

Okay, I'll start sending in the teams myself. If the suspicion of gaming the tourney was really that great, it probably would have been best to avoid putting people in the same groups who are friends irl...
Eh, whatever... _________________

WHAT?
Surely this is an evident case of disqualification? So now people on BEA can be friends IRL and play games in the forums? What the hell?

Completely with you one hundred percent. Right now I'm looking at you as well '93 and '95.

Even if this were a valid matchup (i.e. 1972 vs. 1995), I'd probably vote 1972. Those hip-hop picks from '95 are out of this world, plus I'm a fan of Red Medicine and (particularly) Alien Lanes, but that 1972 team is incredible - one of Fela's best, one of Sabbath's best, one of Curtis' best, the fucking Harder They Come soundtrack, and a nice little gem from France to top it off, as well as a few dope singles ('Changes', 'Hit It and Quit it', and 'Thirteen'). Really solid team all round. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

Nobody can stop you from cooperating with whoever you want, the important thing is that there's an unbiased person to make decisions on your behalf if you're unavailable. So long as you ultimately decided on the teams you're submitting, I don't think it matters much that you worked with someone else.
This goes for everyone else too. If you submit your teams ahead of time, as many have already done, you won't need a co-captain.

Oh, okay. Then that's totally fine... I was entirely aware of the team that cuba submitted... _________________
