Coxon's solo albums would have to respectfully disagree with you.

Surely you are joking!! I actually deleted one of his albums from my itunes the other day as there isn't a single decent tune on it. Regrettably too, Mr Albarn is also no deity. The new album is decent though!

Well, I can't speak for zdwyatt, but Coxon's guitar playing was by far my favorite part of several of Blur's albums. Haven't heard much of his solo stuff, though.

I didn't even know he had solo work. I was just musing on what made Blur so good.

I love what he brought to Blur, and he's a big reason that 13 is one of my all time favorite records, but his solo records are a bit sad, especially compared to what Damon has done since Blur originally disbanded

Eh, I haven't been into much of Albarn's post-Blur stuff, either. It seems like he's a good bandleader, and that's something, but I've always found his songwriting to be very hit-or-miss.

Why the hate on Coxon? I've only listened to Happiness in Magazines but I thought it was pretty decent.

I can now confirm some important news: Blur has definitely come back. The Magic Whip is a triumphant comeback.

Yo I saw the Gorillaz back in 2012. Ol Davie was fat as shit, they had him in this sort-of sailor outfit that was too small for him so his belly button kept popping out the whole show, he was just constantly trying to tuck it back into his pants. then, he tripped over one of the wires and his ass was hanging out for the whole audience to see, the funniest thing i've ever seen and a decidedly mediocre performance over all
