A classic album, for most people it is their first introduction to the world of Bob. I actually never owned it, for my first bob album I took the plunge with the Songs of Freedom box set. This is a good one-disc introduction to his music though and still the perfect album for anyone who just wants his most famous songs.

This the first album my dad ever owned, and one of the first I ever owned. Though I never revisit it, I have fond memories. I used to think that the chorus of "Jamming" was "Pajamas, pajamas..." instead of "We're jammin', we're jammin'..." Song's way better my why. Just saying.
Track picks
1. Is This Love
2. No Woman No Cry
5. Buffalo Soldier
14. Jamming _________________ Inversion Verses

Godawful, and I say this as somebody who loves Bob Marley. Just listen to Burnin' or Catch a Fire or even Rastaman Vibration instead. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

I think it's important to clarify the use of the word godawful, because the actual songs are good. It's just that the production of this set stripped away a lot of what made the Wailers and reggae great _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

That's intriguing, as this is the only work I've heard of his, and I thought it was really boring. Maybe I'll check out his studio albums instead.

Not really, at least not all of them. "No Woman No Cry" and "Is This Love", for instance, I couldn't care less about. "Stir It Up" and and "Jamming", on the contray, I find very much to my taste, but would rather listen to in their respective albums.

Yeah, I was just generalizing. I'm definitely much rather listen to the albums. And I do think this collection is a terrible representation of the genre which keeps people from exploring deeper, and by that it's godawaful _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
