I love this album, and if you listen to Foo Fighters discography in chronological order Grohl's lyrics hadn't become a parody of themselves at this point yet. Their first three albums are probably their best and really the only ones I go back to at this point (Wasting Light is OK too I guess). Definitely worth a listen if you enjoy fun, slightly anthemic 90s rock.

Fantastic album. It really grew on me. I can imagine it being a disappointment after Colour & the Shape, but I think it really captures the sense of chill at the end of the 90s. I loved learning about how he made these songs in a beautiful home studio in Virginia and had BBQs every night. "Learn to Fly", "Next Year" and especially "Aurora" carry a sense of peace to them unmatched by anything else I can think of. There are some slight songs but none that aren't catchy.

Great album, one of their best. Probably top three. I just saw these guys last night and I'm telling you that they put on arguably the best show I've ever seen. I refuse to believe that they put out that type of energy every single night. But the crazy thing is that they do. Dave Grohl is one of the great frontmen in rock history.
