Sorry to keep posting threads lol

I'm going to be running my first album club (like a book club but discussing albums) next week at a youth place i help out at. Most of them are aged around 13 and 14 and most of them coming will be that age so I'm finding it hard to think of an album for them to listen to and discuss. Suggestions?

I don't think kids that age listen to albums anymore.

Something with a story behind it would help bring the music to life. I'd go for VU & Nico with the Warhol/The Factory/NY scene in the 60s. Kids might find that interesting and they might learn some history as well.

Man, that's awesome. You're like Jack Black in School of Rock, but not as fat. I wish I could do something like this.

Anyway, I think Sgt. Peppers is the perfect start to this. It's lean, extremely popular, and is easy for someone that age to get into. After that, you might try Nirvana's Nevermind, then DSOTM.

Defiantly Sgt. Pepper and Dark Side, start out with the older but more popular albums.

i agree. something like this would be good. Bob Marley is probably one of the more famous yet least hated music artists of all time.

Maybe you should bring a variety of albums from different genres in, and ask the kids what styles of music they enjoy, and pick an album that aligns with whatever they all ready like, so they'll all appreciate what you give them to listen to.
