|
Here it is folks! First in a series of BEA literary polls. Gonna be using Hayden's formula so the longer your list the more points it's worth. Please list books from a series individually (e.g. if you give me just "Harry Potter" it's either not counting or I'll just count it as Sorcerer's Stone) No deadline yet, let's see how this goes. Number your lists if you wouldn't mind, and submit any way that tickles your fancy
questions/clarifications encouraged and graphic novels need not apply

Have a bit of a question, should I decide to participate. The Once And Future King is considered one novel of four parts, but its just as often considered a series of four books. My heart tells me to go with the one novel way, mostly because it rattles my bones to consider ranking them by part, but it also feels a bit cheaty do it that way. What is the official take on this?

did you take a picture of me while I was reading tonight?
So I guess we have to choose single novels instead of lumping a series intogether? Anyways cool beans, cuz Prisoner of Azkaban was always my favorite.

Azkaban is def the best. Yeah individual rather than series. Also I very nearly captioned the picture "actual photo of Saoirse in (au)natural(e) habitat"

Okay, here's my tentative list. I'm really not very happy with these rules (and if you guys end up allowing Hunter S Thompson without me, I'll be even more ticked), but I tried to follow the regulations the best I could. Some were sorta vague as to whether they were abstract novels of anthologies, like Harmony Korine's A Crack-Up at the Race Riots. I'll add the authors to the list later, though yes, this does included Anne Rice, Anais Nin and several children's books.

3. Ulysses
4. The Picture of Dorian Grey
5. Antic Hay
6. The Illuminates Trilogy
