The Kinks are in my opinion. Whic other amazing bands were over shadowed by the beatles and stones?

I'd throw The Moody Blues in there, and I think The Zombies' Odessey and Oracle was the best psychedelic album of the age, and I don't even think it's really close.

The Incredible String Band don't get much of a mention, but I love The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter.

and also since they weren't one of the 2 you mentioned: The Beach Boys and all their stuff thats still good but gets overshadowed by Pet Sounds.

John Lennon also spent about 90% of his life tripping balls so I'd take anything he said with a grain of salt.
