I just finished listening to Tool's Fear Inoculum and I was BLOWN AWAY. Easily my favorite record I've heard from Tool. There isn't a single track I'd say was less than good.
Which brings me to my next question: What album should I listen to next? Undertow or 10,000 Days?

Wow! Cool to hrar that! A lot of people seemed disappointed in the new Tool since it was quite different from the other albums. I think 10,000 Days should be next. It's the more progressive of the remaining two albums. _________________ Do it yourself and let me play my music: https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=61802

Undertow is much more similar to Ænima, it's heavy and dirty and more straightforward, while 10,000 Days is more similar to what you hear on Lateralus and Fear Inoculum. I'd say listen to 10,000 Days next

I'm curious, you mentioned you wanted to venture into more metal. Are there other genres you would like to venture into?

I just finished listening to "10,000 Days". It was really good! Not quite on the same level as "Lateralus" or "Fear Inoculum" but it's up there. "10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2)" is far and away my favorite Tool song, and possibly one of my favorite songs ever. I think I'll listen to Undertow tomorrow, I'm a bit tired after listening to four albums in one day

I'm mostly just venturing into metal for now. I started doing this because my boyfriend is really into metal, especially the bands Tool and Gojira.

Interesting, I actually haven't listened to FI in full so might have to check this out. Good luck with your diary, I'm trying to get deeper into metal myself so I'll keep checking this out! Maybe I'll start my own diary, I haven't yet. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
