Haven't dug in to their catalog to heavily, especially compared to their progressive peers, but I do really like this album. I love the use of the percussive acoustic guitar with the stellar leads and drumming. Ian Anderson had a great voice too. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

It has a lot of filler, but when it hits, it hits. "Locomotive Breath/Hymn 43" is an absolutely legendary single.

One of the all time great concept albums. Some songs are "filler" only in the sense that they do not stand alone well. But when put in the context of the whole album, they are essential and worthwhile listening. While I'm happy to listen to Locomotive Breath any time, I definitely prefer to have the time to digest this whole disc from end to end. It is a masterpiece.
