We all have our favourite album covers but what are the ones that are so bad it almost put you off buying the album? Must be loads out there so here goes...
What on earth were the Undertones thinking here? how was it possible for this 'holiday snap' to end up getting the nod? It makes you wonder just how bad the other options must have been.

Hahaha... not sure if serious. Why bad? I think it's fitting to an album called Drones and kinda cool, but... I guess if it's truly terrible, I'm not seeing it.

For some reason I've disliked these album covers and are the worst Weezer albums IMO:

well, i guess i was technically being more subtle than that album cover. to put it plainly, it's an incredibly heavy-handed album cover that reflects the kind of knee-jerk, sophomoric understanding of power relationships that Muse's music typically hones in on in its lyrics.

I think I'm understanding you right and am seeking understanding: I think you are stating an opinion that the album cover is not subtle in establishing a correlation to Muse's lyrics of power relationships (in this case with governments using drones and it's victims) and that those lyrics, in your view, are an oversimplification of reality?
I suppose we'll separate these issues:
1) not being subtle; this seems to be a negative thing?
2) their lyrics, well that's subjective, so we'll just leave it at that?
