I'm very torn on this. On one hand, I love its psychedelic vibe and its use of sampling. However, the songs can be really hit-or-miss. I have a feeling this will be a grower, but it sure is taking a while. _________________

I like this one, but not to the degree that I see other people championing it. I've always thought the members of Animal Collective did their best work when putting songs together in collaboration (I'm not so hot on Spirit, for example, which only had Panda come in at the end to do drums), like there's not enough of a check to the use of repetition here.

I love the music, and I love the album cover with the music. Best world album by a white musician since "Graceland"

baffled.
so, anyway, this is maybe my favorite Animal Collective-affiliated record, although I might prefer Feels. One of the best albums of the 21st century so far. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Personally not as strong as any of the Animal Collective releases. A good record, but I have to be in the mood for it. It borders on too repetitive for me sometimes. I like some of the songs on Tomboy better, but as a cohesive beginning-to-end piece this one's better. Flows very nicely _________________ "If I could just leave my body for a night....
