Jethro Tull are really very talented but they don't have an album in my top 10 so therefore: Neutral Milk.

This is an example that undermines this site's system Confused , cause neither should be in the top 100 artists, even though NMH are amazing, but are a one album wonder, cause Avery Island is crap. Either way, Tull's never been down my alley, and NMH has my #2 stop on my albums chart, so my choice is clear Smile

Ya, O.K. listen to NMH and vote for them blah blah blah.

Many a time I've kicked back to a Jethro Tull album and was taken away to a place of mystery and a kind of medieval world of Jesters. I spent about .0000001 seconds deciding this one.

JETHRO TULL Very Happy

Jethro Tull is an excellent, albeit it eccentric band. NMH takes it for me however, as ITAOTS is #2 on my chart.

"Gardenhead / Leave Me Alone"

Best transition between 2 songs.

AND THOSE LYRICS !!!!

Link

There are beads that wrap around your knees
That crackle into the dark
Like a walk in the park, like a hole in your head
Like the feeling you get when you realize you're dead
This time we ride rollercoasters into the ocean
We feel no emotion as we spiral down to the world
And I guess it's worth your time
Because there's some lives you live
And some you leave behind
It gets hard to explain
The gardenhead knows my name

Leave me alone, for you know this isn't the first time
In fact, this is twice in a row
That the angels have slipped through our landslide
And filled up our garden with snow
And I don't wish to taste of your insides
Or to call out your name through my phone
For the glory boys at your bedside will love you
As long as you're something to own

Follow me through a city of frost-covered angels
I swear I have nothing to prove
I just want to dance in your tangles
To give me some reason to move
But to take on the world at all angles
Requires a strength I can't use
So I'll meet you up high in your anger
Of all that is hoping and waiting for you

... and it's from "On Avery Island"...

I have, that is one of the reasons I voted for Tull

Though IMO Thick As A Brick and Aqualung are better albums.

And Heavy Horses, Songs From The Wood, Minstrel In The Gallery and Stand Up are just as good
