Also, I'm not gonna lie, I've listened to this once a day for the past bit and am totally digging it more the more I listen to it. Listening to the Radio singles as well (trying not to get to distracted from my listening project, but I gotta do the singles at least, right?).
I was a little dissapointed with Josh's guitar playing on the last record (probably more sad that one of my favorite guitar players ever mostly went on to do electronic music, but also to leave the circus), but feel this song is pretty cool guitar work.
Anthony's flow and melody is great. Just a solid song.
Hope Ant is alright. I'm seeing them Sunday at Rock on the Range. Hoping he's feeling good enough to go. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
Decent. Definitely going to take a bit of time to get used to the direction RHCP is taking here, not to say I dislike it. I really like Dark Necessities but this one I'll have to listen to a few times.
One big problem though for me, is Josh's backing vocals. God damn. I didn't like them on I'm With You, and I fucking hate them on this single. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
I like it. Sounds better than most of their latest album's songs. I dig the mature part, not the sound-like-Californication though. Love the piano sound. I don't enjoy too much the lyrics but never mind, the music sounds great.
Although I may be surprised by this, I am firmly of the opinion that no Frusciante = not really the Peppers. _________________ Top Canadian songs, keyless entry remotes, home care, whatever...

Certainly in my opinion, he was apart of their best work. The Chili Peppers can exist without him but damn the chemistry between John, Flea and Chad mixed with the Ant/John vocal harmonies was something truly special. Few bands have ever had that type of chemistry in my opinion. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
