First album I've heard of his, but didn't get very far with it. Didn't really grab my attention.

Certainly a different flavor than a lot of Bruce's other work. I like a lot of it. The best part being the closing track which serves as a perfect ending to an album filled with a depressing vibe.

A close second to Born in the U.S.A. for my favorite Springsteen albums. I definitely like the stripped down simplicity and beautiful toned down melodies, no stadium or heartland rock in sight (I guess it is a little patriotic...). One of his best.
