Welcome to the Album Discussion Party
Week 1. Voting ADP: Skinny is on the road at the moment, but link to his thread will go here.
Week 2. Voting ADP:
Please use this thread to nominate albums you'd love to be voted for and then discussed in individual ADP threads.
As much as we love the album page, it doesn't allow for real back and forth discussion.
This is inspired by this thread where there was some interest in starting more deep discussions into albums.
This thread will be dedicated to nominating albums to start threads on (so we know what interests the group as a whole). Please post on this thread any and all albums you'd like to discuss in detail. In doing so, please provide the BEA link (could just be hyperlink, no need to always do the jpg) and a link where anyone could listen to it (spotify, youtube, etc.).
Once we have a fair share of albums in this thread (5-10), anyone could then create a new thread which purpose is to vote for which album everyone wants to discuss.
The album with the most votes that week would then have it's user create a new thread dedicated to that album and discussing it more detail. Anyone is invited to discuss pros and cons of the album... the most important aspect to it though is WHY. Saying only "dis album dope" belongs on the album page comments section. We want intriguing discussion!
If this turns out to be too complex, then we will follow the ALC and Spotify model and see if that generates as much/more interest. Feel free to comment on the link above on ideas to better the process (someone in that thread suggested skype/live conversation which I thought fantastic... we'd probably need to set up two or three "events" so the whole world could participate or as the user mentioned if you can't attend, the skype session is copied into a new thread and the discussion continues on).
Thanks all! Let the flood gates open!

I don't know if I really have the time to be like full on leading the discussion on an album, but I could probably get some healthy contributions going on anything released on warp from 1995-2005 if anyone had an interest in something there.

I'll start with something relatively well-known:

Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) by Wu-Tang Clan
I think there's lots to discuss about this, particularly right now, when the entire Wu-Tang brand seems to be at its least cool ever, and also at a time when New York seems to have nothing to offer in terms of hip-hop. _________________ 2021 in full effect. My sincerest apologies, you are quite right. Just like all the best outsider genres over the years, it doesn't conform to templates like "singles" or "albums", and therefore it isn't necessarily apparent in my world. I'm a cis motherfucker in a world far away from NY, but I do like what I've heard.
But yeah, I'll definitely put forward a great discussion thread about 36 Chambers if picked. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

I would try my damndest to have something intelligent to say for 36 chambers and fully support that being the first one of these.
also lol dbz yeah a whole unfocused thread on warp 95-05, I could fill that. I wonder tho if anyone would be up for max tundra - children at play, cause that is unfairly forgotten and one of the greatest things. I'll throw that out there tho, if there's any interest in that thread then I will do my damndest to lead some discussion on it.

Just stickied this.
I think we need to organize this a bit, figure out how we want to do this. Do we want to have people nominate albums (say, maybe a total of 10) and then have everyone vote on which one they want to talk about? Or do we wanna do this similar to the ALC, where people sign up for a week and post whatever album they want?
Either way, I'd say if we wanna start with 36 Chambers (and I'm totally down for that), we should make a separate thread for it. _________________ 2023 Chart

Would be a good forum for albums that people think haven't had the kudos they deserve. In recent years Tales of Us by Goldfrapp would be my candiadate.
