- Post subject: Where the "View Next Chart" link goes
|
I find myself in this scenario quite often. I'm going through my best-of-year charts, making edits. To go to he next year, I have to go back to "My Charts" and click on the next year. It would be enormously helpful to me if 'view next chart" took me to the next chart in my set. Listmeister's Best of 1968. [Clicks View Next Chart] Ah! Listmeister's Best of 1969.
Currently, it goes to, I think, the next chart to get posted, no matter who posted it. If this is useful to anybody, maybe we could have two links, "Next Chart Posted" and "User's Next Chart", or something like that. As it is, it functions like a "go to random chart" button. which we already have under Resources.

Thanks for the feedback. The 'view next chart' link was originally designed as a navigation mechanism for people browsing through the charts in chronological order (e.g. so that you can see charts added since you last visited etc), and to support this, the links currently land on the next newest/oldest chart on the site (the label could be updated to make this clearer). I also agree that some (secondary?) navigation would also be useful so that you can cycle through charts from the same author as you are currently viewing to save going to the 'my charts' page. I'll add both of these suggestions to the list.
