100% agree. P.M Dawn is criminally overlooked duo.
Side 1
1. The Spirit of Radio
2. Closer to the Heart
3. Anthem
4. Subdivisions
5. BU2B
6. YYZ
Runtime: 27:24
Side 2
7. La villa Strangiato
8. Natural Science
9. Cygnus X-1: Book 1

I figured side 1 could be a more of a well-known hits section and side two could be more of a deep tracks type of thing. _________________ Don't get work up over my posts. I'm an idiot.

a few people have posted lists for weezer, but unless i missed something, none of those lists really paid attention to their newer stuff. so i'm giving it a shot including 1 track from each album:
01 buddy holly - 2:40
02 beach boys - 3:51
03 memories - 3:16
04 pork and beans - 3:09
05 hash pipe - 3:06
06 the good life - 4:17
07 africa - 3:58
08 (girl we got a) good thing - 3:25
09 (if you're wondering if i want want to) i want you to - 3:28
10 keep fishin' - 2:52
11 this is such a pity - 3:24
12 go away - 3:13
This looked like fun, so I tasked myself with Tom Waits. I'm a record nerd so I've divided it up into 2 sides (although it wouldn't all fit properly on one disc). Here we go...
Side A
1. Hoist That Rag (original version) - Real Gone
2. Jockey Full of Bourbon - Rain Dogs
3. Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis - Blue Valentine
4. Step Right Up - Small Change
5. Goin' Out West - Bone Machine
6. Take It With Me - Mule Variations
Side B
1. New Coat of Paint - The Heart of Saturday Night
2. Heartattack and Vine - Heartattack and Vine
3. Get Behind the Mule - Mule Variations
4. Rosie - Closing Time
5. Sixteen Shells from a Thirty-Ought-Six - Swordfishtrombones
6. Anywhere I Lay My Head - Rain Dogs
Total run time of 52 minutes
Track flow and album variety were heavily considered. Tom Waits doesn't have many songs I'd consider "hit singles" so I'm not sure if this has too many/any hits or deep cuts. But in my opinion this would be a great mix for a rookie or veteran Tom Waits listener. Also it was a lot of fun and now I have a new playlist
1. The Bends
2. How Do You?
3. Bodysnatchers
4. Electioneering
5. You
6. Airbag
7. Just
8. Myxomatosis
9. My Iron Lung
10. 2+2=5
11. National Anthem
12. Paranoid Android _________________ Jeff Lynne 5th Beatle

Vert good selection. The second half is inspired. I can hardly remember any truly long Rush tracks after Moving Pictures. Might give Rush a go myself in this thread.
It'd be cool if in the OP there was a list of all the ones so we know what's been done/have a repository of all the shiz, but that'd be a decent amount of work... just an idea. Partially because it looks like I started this list, but never finished it.
Anyway, Red Hot Chili Peppers might be a laughing stock to those who don't understand them, but I respect them as having fantastic tonality/musicality and heart and soul.
As usual my lists are a chronological preview from each album, indicating their guitarist of the time, which drastically changes the quality/style of music produced (hoping I got this right... haha)
With Hillel Slovak
1. Get Up and Jump
2. The Brothers Cup
3. Me and My Friends
With John Frusciante
4. Johnny, Kick A Hole In The Sky
5. I Could Have Lied
With Dave Navarro (even if this song doesn't have him in it)
6. Pea
With John Frusciante
7. Parallel Universe
8. Don't Forget Me
9. Readymade
10. If
With Josh Klinghoffer
11. Police Station (picked due to the "haunting" piano outro)
12. Dark Necessities
If after all that and you still really think this... well idk what to say. (even if I find this hysterical)
I'm not great at curating track listings... I think I could do it better if I put more time into it.
My focus on these has been to give a decent preview of a band. This band is well known, so I focused more on deeper cuts and sounds that Nirvana isn't typically known for (leaning a bit more on the pop punk side for Son of a Gun and Molly's Lips). And the more beautiful pieces like Something In The Way and All Apologies. Oh Me is technically a Meat Puppets song, but his rendition hits home.
You Know You're Right (not released until 2004 or something)
Sappy
Lithium
Love Buzz
Aneurysm
Molly's Lips
Son Of A Gun
Silver
Oh Me
Heart-Shaped Box
All Apologies
Something In The Way
I'm surprised no-one has done a Zeppelin list. I'll get on that right away. _________________ Don't get work up over my posts. I'm an idiot.
