It's the album that ignited my love of music as a teenager in the mid-late 1990s.
It's also one of the first records I decided to donate to charity after my musical tastes changed and I started to find hearing the songs unbearable... Not to mention the lack of creativity and narrow nostalgia for the 60s that Oasis stood for. _________________ http://distranscontinuum.blogspot.co.uk/

Personally, I still think it's one of the greatest albums ever recorded. And the b-sides, which include "Acquiesce" and "The Masterplan", are just as excellent as the hit singles and album tracks.

"She's Electric" used to be an anthem for my sex life growing up.
She's got a brother
We don't get on with one another
But I quite fancy her mother
And I think that she likes me
She's got a cousin
In fact she's got 'bout a dozen
She's got one in the oven
But it's nothing to do with me
Really, I remember listening to this when I was 16 and thinking, "This is my theme song".

This album has three anthems (Wonderwall, Don't look back in anger, Champagne supernova), a few good songs like the mentioned She's electric and some songs I don't like at all. But only for the three top class songs I mentioned above and for the musical revolution caused in the UK, this album deserves its praise.

Always thought this was massively overrated (like Oasis in general) but listening to it now it seems I was a bit too harsh. The singles are gold of course but some of the album tracks are much better than I remember. _________________ All time
