One of the most aptly titled albums I can think off. Of all the Stone's albums this is the greatest feast for the ears. My only quibble is the cd, and the vinyl copy I bought decades ago both have the public toilet cover instead of the simple but elegant original. It is after all "A Beggars Banquet" , not a fly infested shithole.

Definitely a great Stones album, but I don't think of it as highly as many. Well behind Sticky, Exile and Bleed for me.

The toilet cover was the one originally submitted by the band...the one they wanted. The label rejected it, but they were able to use what they wanted for the CD reissues. I actually prefer the toilet cover to the bland, obviously last ditch cover (with obviously about zero effort) of plain script on a piece of paper.
It's a great, great album. _________________ May we all get to heaven

85/100 for me. Dear Doctor probably brought it down from a 90/100.
Sympathy for the Devil is easily top 5 songs they ever wrote and Jiggsaw Puzzle on side is also pretty good. Side B is fantastic though (6-10).
5th favorite Stones album.
