@ seth ... Whoa, so is this your list or BEAs? Your reply seems to indicate both.

Doh!

I forgot to add the link- like a year or so ago, I gave BEA's top songs a stab in a playlist. I'm sure the order has changed a bit and all since then since this is a live database, and of course Spotify doesn't have everything. Edited and now has link.

And that was songs I rated 100 on this site in alphabetical order - probably not meeting some people's standards, but if a song immediately captivates me with tasteful pop sensation - it usually gets a 100.

Oh, okay, that makes sense, and I take it you're planning on submitting an ordered Top 50 later?

I actually don't think I could do such a task. Albums or works of art, sure eventually I could see myself perfecting such a list.

There's just too many damn amazing tracks/movements. I'd have to sort through something like 2,500 100/100 ratings I've given to do this task and I really don't see myself doing that... I could do top 50 songs for each period/decade maybe... so like a top 500 list, but I really can't see myself doing a top 50 of all time. I'm too easy to please when it comes to songs. Albums/works on the other hand is much easier.

Yes, it is damn near impossible. I'm not sure yet if this poll is going to be worth keeping going, so if you change your mind let me know as soon as you can. I'll probably decide within a week. I think the results could prove very interesting, so I would prefer that enough people would want to do it to make it worthwhile.

i've narrowed my list down to 92. having a hard time hacking it down more than that. i'm not sure if i can get it in within a week.

That's fine, just knowing the number of contributors is enough before then. All I'd be doing in a week is deciding to discontinue if there are, say, still only 3 or 4 voters or something like that. But if a decent turnout happens by that time, whether its actual submissions or future voters just saying "I'm going to do it" or some such, I'll keep it rolling.
