I was browsing BEA as usual when I suddenly saw recent ratings for an album called "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" by a band called "The Arcana". I saw it had a lot of perfect scores and somehow it has managed to rise through the 2016 charts very quickly all of a sudden.

I started reading the comments and one of the commenters even say which members of BEA belong to the band itself. These accounts seemed fishy from the start and I was right, they have just been made in the past week or so just to give their own album a 100.

Tomorrow Is Yesterday by The Arcana

Now, I don't know if their music is good or bad. I listened to one of their songs but I think that's not the point. I just wanted to give a shoutout to this. I didn't know where to report these users or what to do. I just think that this could affect the 2016 charts.

Sorry that was me posting which members of bea were in the band. I was just calling them out. I'm just assuming that they are. Well, pretty obvious really. Shame they've done what they and unfortunately rather than going about the normal route of getting people to check you're own music on here they've come up with this rather not all too clever plan. It's guaranteed to fail. Assuming the top scores aren't removed, the high placing will guarantee listens, however as the low scores show it won't turn out the way they'd have hoped.

Just looked them up... A pretty awful attempt to look and sound exactly like the Beatles.

I don't get why bands name themselves something that a more famous band has already named themselves. Seems kind of counter-intuitive; makes it harder to find their music.

yeah well first I thought there's nothing against a guy liking his own album best but when you see that there are 7 guys scoring a 100 and succeeding at hiking up the album to the 18th place in the year rank and hell they even made it to the top 2500 overall which is the threshold for my album listening project you can find somewhere on this site, there's certainly cause for some action...

Cracked me up when Graeme2 lists the band members accounts and then points out how the album must be great because it's number one on 6 charts, even though those charts are from the exact same accounts he listed. Can't make that stuff up Laughing

Mods are aware and looking into it Smile
