Any albums rated low on this site but you have seen much higher on some other lists in books or magazines. This one immediately comes to my mind: Thumbnail. Click to enlarge.
Dreamer by Bobby Bland
I am sure there are others but i can remember this being top 100 in more than one list published in the 1980's and here its like 10000 or something and #3 on Bobby's list.
please note list if you remember. i will try to find the lists i remember this being on.
look forward to some hopefully a few i am not familiar with.

This is actually an interesting topic. However I can't think of any albums like that at the moment. _________________ All time

Im not sure just how low ranked u mean, but these are a few that i remember topping critic's polls at the time, but are barely mentioned here. These are the ones that make me do a face-palm whenever i see how low ranked they are here.
Roni Size & Reprazent. New Forms
Psychedelic Furs. Talk Talk Talk, and The Psychedelic Furs

Tons of acclaimed Jazz albums are very underrated on this site, which is too Rock-centric to get a more balanced list. The idea that Jazz, which features composers and musicians at the very least the equal of the most accomplished in Rock, has virtually no masterpieces in its history (if one goes by the BEA overall chart) aside from its token entry (such as Kind of Blue) and maybe one or two others, is logically a bit dubious. Though I also understand the chart is basically a popularity contest so from that perspective it is "logical". _________________ Best Classical

Hey, here's an album that's really taken a fall. In most published polls in 1992 this was the number one album. But here it's ranked 4,999.
Arrested Development. 3 Years, 5 Months, 2 Days In the Life of....

Oh yeah, i forgot to tell u which list Arrested Development was #1 on.
It was the biggest and oldest and probably most famous published poll of all time. The Village Voice Annual Critics Poll. Or " Pazz & Jop Poll", as they call it. I go online and refer to it all the time. It goes way back to 1971. And i also love any books (and websites) that rank albums. And magazine polls and shit.
