Usually people just think of mafia movies when they think of gangster movies, but by.gangster movie I also mean ANY kind of criminal gang.

These are my favorite ones

The Krays
Bonnie and Clyde
The Godfather Part 2 ( or Part 1, dont matter)
Prince of the City
Goodfellas
Miller's Crossing
The Big Heat
Thieves Like Us
The Pope of Greenwich Village
The Grifters
King of,the Gypsies
The Warriors

Anyway, along with Miller's Crossing, these are my fav:

Eastern Promises (go Canada!)
A History of Violence (go Canada!)
Le Doulos
Sonatine
Rififi
Gomorrah
City of God
A Prophet
In Bruges
Pale Flower
&
Sin Nombre

I would... um... perhaps be opposed to this. Anxious Unlike romance or horror, 'gangster' is reeeaalllly hard to define.

Most of the best ones have been mentioned already but the ones that haven't been are:

Casino
Donnie Brasco
The Untouchables
A Bronx Tale
White Heat
Little Caesar
Mean Streets
Does Pulp Fiction count?
