Overall, Protection is my 3rd favourite Massive Attack album, behind the obvious two.

1. Protection (10/10) - this might be my favourite song by Massive Attack. Tracey Thorn's vocals are just as empowering as the song's lyrics.

2. Karmacoma (10/10) - a classic trip hop song. Tricky also made a great remake (titled "Overcome") on his debut album Maxinquaye.

3. Three (8.5/10) - obviously, it can't compete with the first 2 tracks, but it's still pretty good.

4. Weather Storm (7.5/10) - this instrumental is a bit bland, and it runs for about 2 minutes too long.

5. Spying Glass (8/10) - personally, I don't think Horace Andy's vocals work too well with this song. The instrumental part during the second half is better.

6. Better Things (9/10) - despite its cheesy lyrics ("You say the magic's gone, well I'm not a magician. You say the spark is gone, well get an electrician"), I still do really like this song. The vocals and the music are great.

7. Eurochild (9/10) - not as great as "Karmacoma", but still a solid swan song for Tricky with Massive Attack.

8. Sly (9/10) - I really can't explain why I love this song so much. I just do.

9. Heat Miser (9/10) - I much prefer this instrumental over "Weather Storm". This one makes me feel like I'm stuck at the bottom of the ocean, and my oxygen tank is running out.

10. Light My Fire (1/10) - let's all pretend that this awful cover song doesn't exist.
