- Post subject: Additional 50 favourite albums not currently in your list.
|
It recently came to my attention that CellaDoor had updated his top 50 album chart by virtually replacing all of his previous entries. I was struck by the fact that an already great chart was replaced by arguably an even better one.
This got me thinking that a 50 album list is an inadequate method of reflecting ones diverse musical interests. A top 100 list, however, would in my view go some way in redressing this. With this in mind, I propose that members supplement their original list of 50 with a 'top up' list of 50.
I'll start the ball rolling. In no particular order:
Spiritualized - Lazer Guided Melodies
The Feelies - Crazy Rhythms
Go-Betweens - Before Hollywood
Love - Da Capo
The Doors - The Doors
Traffic - Mr Fantasy
Velvet Underground - White Light, White Heat
Holy Modal Rounders - Indian War Whoop
Pink Floyd - Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
Talking Heads - 77
The Clash - The Clash
Joni Mitchell - Hejira
Captain Beefheart - Safe As Milk
Captain Beefheart - The Mirror Man Sessions
Mothers Of Invention - Weasel's Ripped My Flesh
Mothers Of Invention - Freak Out
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
Neil Young - Tonight's The Night
Rickie Lee Jones - Rickie Lee Jones

You have read the roadmap, right?
Although, I don't mean to brag, but do to a bug in the system I had 51 items in my chart for about a day and a half. ...albeit, two of the albums were actually the same album. _________________ A dick that's bigger than the sun.
